Wedding: St. Margaret’s Church
Reception: Sky Meadow Country Club
Stephanie and Tony are such a great couple and I had so much fun working with them from photographing their engagement session, to designing their guest book and then finally photographing their wedding…and I still get to design their album! Stephanie and Tony were so sweet and invited me to their rehearsal dinner the night before. They had the coolest gifts made for everyone. They spent an afternoon making their own wine at Vintners Cellar Winery and the label for the bottle was custom designed with one of the pictures from the engagement session. They gave me a bottle and I can’t wait to try it.
The weather was absolutely perfect (not too warm and slightly overcast), especially for photographs outside, although we were hoping for a sunset shot. I started the day with the girls at the salon and then we headed to Stephanie’s house to finish getting ready. The ceremony at St. Margaret’s Church in Burlington, Massachusetts was beautiful. The church was gorgeous with beautiful light. Then everyone headed to the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire to celebrate. The wedding coordinators at Sky Meadow were wonderful and did an amazing job! We had plenty of time between the ceremony and reception, so I was fortunate to not have to rush through the formals and Stephanie and Tony got to enjoy some of the cocktail hour with their guests. Congratulations Stephanie and Tony and have a great honeymoon!

I am currently without Internet access…uggh!! I got home last night from Stephanie & Tony’s awesome wedding (which I will be posting shortly) and discovered that Time Warner Cable has had a major outage in the Greater Bangor area. I’m not sure what happened, but you know it’s bad when you call and immediately get a recording telling you that they are experiencing difficulties in the Great Bangor area. It’s now 3pm on Monday and I still don’t have access. It’s amazing how much I’ve come to depend on Internet access!
So what’s girl to do…head to the library! The Bangor Public Library has great wireless Internet access (they are obviously not with Time Warner) and enjoy their wonderful facilities and get some work done. I actually volunteer at the library a few hours each week and love coming here. It’s located in this beautiful old building with huge windows and gorgeous light.
Stay tuned for Stephanie & Tony’s wedding!
I am so excited that this image placed in the Weather Category in the WPJA 2nd quarter contest! This is one of my many favorite images from Jennifer & Tim’s wedding. It was such a gorgeous day, but right before the ceremony the clouds rolled in and it started to rain. Luckily it stopped in time for the ceremony, but then it started again right at the end of the ceremony. The plan was to take portraits right after the ceremony outside and luckily it stopped again, but of course it started raining after only a few group shots, so we decided to do the rest inside. This shot was taken then… I was running ahead of the girls getting these shots:) I had to run to the car to get some other equipment and as soon as I got back it started pouring and I mean pouring! I was so glad I made it back before the torrential down pour started:) Then can you believe it the rest of the day was gorgeous, not a single drop fell after that.

Check out all the awesome winners at the WPJA!
Wedding - Asticou Inn
Reception - Spectacular Event Center
Vanessa and Aaron are such a cute couple and when Aaron told me he moved all the way from Alaska just to be with Vanessa I thought…wow, how romantic! Vanessa and Aaron chose one of the most amazing settings for a wedding…The Asticou Inn in Northeast Harbor. I just love it there and as I was driving down on a beautiful sunny day, I was quite surprised when the fog rolled in. I think it made for even more dramatic photographs! After the ceremony we headed over to the Azalea Gardens for pictures. They had a wonderful reception at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor with lots of family and friends to celebrate with. Congratulations!!

What a perfect day for a wedding, well except for the extreme humidity! Stephanie and Mike didn’t mind though, coming from Nebraska and the extreme heat they have been having there. But the lake looked so inviting, I really wanted to jump in! Gina at the Alamoosook Inn did an amazing job coordinating their wedding and had everything running like clockwork. Stephanie had so many details for her wedding and I can’t believe how organized she must have been to coordinate it all the way from Nebraska! They had a beautiful ceremony that mixed both Pagan and Lutheran religions and along the shores of the Alamoosook Lake was a perfect setting for exchanging their vows and then all their family and friends celebrated thanks to their DJ, Dan. BTW, their cake was amazing!! Congratulations Stephanie & Mike! Have a great honeymoon in Iceland and Paris! I am sooo jealous!

Benjamin turned one on September 7th, so his parents decided to have the most beautiful blessing ceremony at 7 a.m. (when Benjamin was born), at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. What a beautiful sunrise to start the day off and Benjamin was so cute!

Nikki and Guy have got to be the sweetest couple I have ever worked with! They invited me in to their small, intimate wedding and when I left I felt like I was part of the family. Three years ago they started coming to the coast of Maine every year and decided to say their vows in a place they have come to love, Ogunquit, Maine. They always stay at The Blue Water Inn which is in a breathtaking location right across from the beach. Everyone made their way over to the beach for a beautiful sunset ceremony. Her brother made the most amazing food for the celebration. Congratulations Nikki & Guy!

Carmell and Mike couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for a wedding! From start to finish everything went off flawlessly and I had such a great time photographing their wedding, I only wish the day hadn’t gone so fast! The church was so gorgeous and Heather at Castleton did an amazing job coordinating their wedding reception. The grounds there are beautiful, one of the reasons Carmell and Mike chose it for their reception, and George did an awesome job keeping everyone on the dance floor and having a blast!
Congratulations Carmell & Mike!
