I am excited to announce the launch of my new website. After Robin Ott designed my awesome new logo, it was time to incorporate my new look into my website and all my marketing material. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to browse through my galleries. Happy New Year!

It’s time to start wedding planning! There are so many wedding planning resources on the web, as well as forums to share ideas and get recommendations that it can be completely overwhelming. Some of my favorites are:
WedPix - This is the WPJA’s online magazine for both brides & grooms and photographers. It has awesome articles on everything related to wedding photography.
TheKnot - This website is probably the most well known and has the biggest web presence when it comes to wedding planning.
Brides.com - Another great all around resource for all your wedding planning. Disclaimer…I do advertise on Brides.com so I’m rather partial to it:)
ewedding.com - This is so cool, you can have your own wedding website. Make it easy for your family and friends to find out more about you guys, your wedding, and anything else you want to share.
In New England, the main wedding season is May-October, so the 2007 wedding season is quickly approaching. Right now I have 21 weddings booked for 2007. Since I only photograph one wedding a weekend so that I am completely dedicated to your day, I only have seven weekends left that have openings between May and October. I encourage you to book your favorite vendors as soon as possible to ensure that they are available for your wedding!

It’s Christmas Eve and I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday enjoying this special time with family and friends.

Poor London, he was not happy with me trying to get this picture! Cat’s are just not as cooperative as dogs when it comes to getting cute pictures like this. Cat’s have a mind of their own. I’ve always liked this quote about cats…

“Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.” - Anonymous

With the entire family gathered together, Jim and Carol Callahan asked me to take this picture on Thanksgiving Day. Elizabeth Murphy is their daughter and my sister in law, so I was only too happy to capture this happy moment and a time when the family is rarely together all at once.

We just received extremely sad news that Mary Callahan has passed away. After fighting breast cancer and believing she had won the battle, she was admitted to the hospital several days ago and sadly passed away. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Callahan family during this difficult time.

I will be exhibiting at the Maine Wedding Association’s bridal show in Bangor, Maine on January 13-14, 2007, which I am very excited about and am looking forward to meeting lots of brides who will be getting married in 2007 and 2008! I’ve been working hard on my exhibit space and am having the pictures below blown up for display in my booth. It was really hard to go through all my weddings this year and pick out some of my favorites. I’ll also be displaying my new album lines, Cypress Albums, PictoBooks, and AsukaBooks, plus an awesome slide show of one of my weddings, and lots of other goodies:) I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!

I am so excited to present my new logo and identity! The pink/black will be for my wedding business, while the teal/black will be for my portrait business. Robin Ott designed my logo and she did an awesome job!! I would highly recommend her for any design work. She was very open to my ideas and suggestions and had a very quick turnaround time. You’ll be seeing some changes to my website soon!

I really have to apologize for neglecting my blog and keeping you updated on all the exciting things happening. Everything has been rather crazy trying to get ready for the holidays and getting everyone’s print orders shipped on time for the holidays. Did you know that yesterday was the busiest day of the year for the USPS? They anticipated mailing 900 million pieces of mail!!! It must be because the line was huge at the Bangor post office!

On a personal note, Brendan got a horrible case of bronchitis and ended up in the hospital for four days because he was having difficulty breathing. There is this awful bug going around, so if you feel a cold coming on (that is how Brendan’s started), make sure to take care of yourself and get plenty of rest.

I also hired a designer to develop a logo for Jennifer Stone Photography and we just finished with the final design, so stay tuned for a preview of the new look! Next, I will have to revamp my website and all my marketing material.

I also am getting ready for a bridal show January 13-14 in Bangor hosted by the Maine Wedding Association, so stay tuned for news about that.

All of my clients will be receiving my holiday card, which I just finished designing. These are some of my favorite images from weddings and portrait sessions throughout the year. If you want a sneak peek at my new logo, take a look at the lower right hand corner:) Thank you all for a wonderful year! I enjoyed working with each and every one of you!
