I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and didn’t eat too much:)

I am so excited because I recently purchased Showit Web to create presentation slide shows from weddings and portrait sessions. So not only will I be posting pictures to my blog, but I will also be posting a slide show of my favorite images to my website. I’ve designed the slideshow so at the end it takes you directly to Collages.net where clients and their guests can view all the images from the day!

I’ve been working on a sample guest book for an upcoming bridal show (more on that later), and designed one using some of my favorite images from Stephanie & Tony’s engagement session, which I then put into this **slideshow**

I have quite a few engagement sessions this year, which I am so psyched about! This is really a great time to just have fun with your photographer and get some really awesome pictures. I love engagement sessions because I get to know the couple so much better, plus you can use these images in so many fun ways, like a guest book, a mat signing board, your “Save the Date” cards. I just designed this combination Happy Holidays and Save the Date card.

I had so much fun photographing the Young family today! The weather has been absolutely miserable here for the last week with rain and dreary skies and today was actually sunny:) It was perfect weather for outdoor photographs! Julia is such an adorable baby, but no matter what we did we could not coax a smile out of her. I hope Erik, her awesome big brother, ended up having a good time, because he really didn’t want to have his pictures taken, but I think they came out great! Scott and Andrea have a beautiful family, and they actually live in the house she grew up in, which I think is just amazing since my family moved around so much.

Brendan and I celebrated our twelve year anniversary by heading to Acadia National Park for a few days. Moving to Bangor means we have a national park right in our backyard which is awesome. Since it’s off-season we missed all the crowds (yeah!), but a lot of the shops and restaurants have closed. We had amazing weather for November in Maine, although Friday was really windy. We stayed at the Bar Harbor Inn which is right in downtown Bar Harbor and had a room overlooking the ocean. Another bonus of the off-season, is the low rates. I’m not sure we could afford to stay there during the summer! We hiked, drove the park loop road and just relaxed, I even left my laptop at home…which was really difficult!

It was so cold and windy at the summit, we didn’t stay long!

Salem, Massachusetts is such a cool city with so much history, as well as fun shops to explore. Today I had so much fun just wandering around, being a tourist which I really haven’t been able to do in awhile. I even went to The House of Seven Gables. If you really want a real Halloween experience you have to come to Salem, the Witch City.
