I’ve been in Florida for the past few days visiting my family. It was a difficult visit with my parents, as my father’s health is deteriorating and I came home feeling very sad. It is hard to be so far from my parent’s, but I am thankful that I can easily fly down there and help when needed. My sister Rebecca is only a few hours from them and she came up with her two kids, Matthew and Meagan. It was so much fun to see them….I only wish I could have spent more time down there.

This hawk visited us every evening. It was so cool:)

This past weekend was the Magic Falls Rafting guide/employee appreciation party. Brendan is a raft guide for Magic Falls and guides whenever he can, which unfortunately is not a lot. Everyone receives funny awards and Brendan received the “Vacationing Guide” award because he is always traveling.

Magic Falls is an AWESOME rafting company and if you are ever in Maine it is definitely worth a trip to The Forks to take a trip either down the Kennebec River or the Dead River with Magic Falls Rafting.

Dave & Donna, owners of Magic Falls, will make sure you have a great time.

This area of Maine is spectacular and the scenery is breathtaking driving along Route 201. There is not only rafting to enjoy but there is hiking on the Appalachian Trail as well as numerous other trails. One of my favorite hikes is to Moxie Falls (this is an old picture from one of my first hikes to the falls).

The leaves are beginning to change…I love this time of year, it’s my favorite season.

Meagan & Chris had the most beautiful and elegant wedding. It was a very sunny and hot September day and it was perfect from start to finish. They had a very traditional ceremony at the Acton Congregational Church in Acton, Massachusetts followed by an amazing reception at the Charter Oak Country Club in Hudson. Everyone had so much fun and danced the night away in a beautiful ballroom. It went by so fast, I only wish there had been more time, it seemed there were never ending picture opportunities. After a quick look through their pictures, these are some of my favorites, although I’m sure I will find many more. Congratulations!
